A new MPA at Sciences Po
Dear Students,

We thought you might be interested to know that Sciences Po is offering a new Master of Public Affairs starting in the fall of 2005.

The select group of graduates of the new MPA at Sciences Po will constitute an instant worldwide network of expert policymakers and policy analysts equipped to master complex organizations in an evolving global environment, solve problems using sophisticated analytical tools, and assume leadership roles in public, nonprofit, and private sectors across the globe.

The MPA at Sciences Po brings together three of the world’s premier teaching and research institutions at the cutting edge of the current thinking on global public policy:

Paris: Sciences Po,
New York: the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University,
London: the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Our partnership means that students will have the possibility of earning a dual MPA degree. Selected students will spend one year in Paris followed by one year in London or New York, and receive two MPA’s – one from each institution they attend!

Successful candidates for admission to the new MPA Program will come to Sciences Po from every nationality and background, have an excellent academic record at the bachelor’s or master’s degree level, and previous relevant work experience, whether in the public or private sector. All will have demonstrated a strong interest in leadership and problem-solving at a national, regional, or global scale.

Candidates for the dual degree MPA must first be accepted at Sciences Po, then apply for one of the dual programs during the fall semester of the first year.

I have attached a brief presentation of the program for your general information. For details on tuition and scholarships, and all other information, please visit our web site at http://mpa.sciences-po.fr , or write to us at [email protected] . We hope you will join us in building a new vision of global public policy.
