Description:
The France Telecom group is one of the world’s leading telecommunications operators with a global footprint stretching across five continents. The main commercial brand is Orange, which serves more than 116 million of the Group’s 177 million customers worldwide in domestic and business markets. Services include fixed-line, mobile, internet, TV and content. Through its Orange Business Services division, the Group operates the world’s largest seamless netwrk for business customers, covering some 220 countries and territories. This endowed scholarship will support emerging market participants at INSEAD in perpetuity. Candidates need to be motivated to pursue their career in one of the regions where Orange operates.

Eligibility:
Candidates admitted to the MBA programme from Armenia, Brazil, Central African Republic, Dominican Republic, Egypt, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Moldova, Niger, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and Uganda will be considered. Preference will also be given to candidates who demonstrate financial need. A knowledge of French would be a plus.

When is the first scholarship going to be granted?
The INSEAD Orange Endowed Scholarship for Emerging Markets will be awarded twice a year to one candidate in each of the two MBA programme intakes at INSEAD, starting with the 2010J Class.

What is the amount of the scholarship? What are the methods of payment?
The scholarship is worth €12,000 to €20,000 and is deducted from the final tuition fee payment due at INSEAD soon after the start or the programme.

How to apply?
To apply, candidates must first be admitted to the full-time INSEAD MBA programme after which they will be given access to apply for scholarships online. Decisions on scholarship awards are generally announced two to three months before the start of the MBA programme:
