Google Gives Some African Students Free AI Tools — But, As Always, Only in the Same Six Countries

Google is once again rolling out its most advanced AI learning tools — completely free of charge — to university students in the same select African countries (while excluding the rest of the continent): Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

Eligible university students in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, and Zimbabwe will receive Gemini — Google’s competitor to ChatGPT — free of charge for one year.
