Objet :
The Leadership and Advocacy for Women in Africa (LAWA) Program was founded in 1993 in order to train women’s rights lawyers from Africa committed to advancing the status of women and girls upon return to their countries. Under the LAWA Program, participants study for and receive a Masters of Law (LL.M.) degree with an emphasis on international women’s human rights at the Georgetown University Law Center, and complete a major graduate paper on an African women’s rights issue.
