L’AREA, pour la septième année, lance un appel à candidature pour un Prix spécifique à la francophonie récompensant des thèses, mémoires de masters ou mémoires d’ingénieurs rédigés et soutenus en français, qui ont pour champ l’économie agricole ou alimentaire, la gestion et la stratégie des entreprises agroalimentaires, et leur environnement – intrants, services, consommation finale -.

The International Academy of Journalism now accepting application for the Journalism in the Digital World Fellowship

Are you interested in journalistic forms of presentation on the internet? Would you like to know more about technical production of web content? The International Academy of Journalism offers a ten-month blended-learning training program in digital journalism for freelancers and full-time editorial staff. 

“Journalism in the Digital World”, starting in September 2012, aims to build the technical skills of journalists and to enable discussion on current media ethics issues. 

United Nations Journalism Fellowship now open!

The Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists is now accepting applications from professional journalists from developing countries for its 2012 fellowship program.

The fellowships are available to radio, television, print and web journalists, age 25 to 35, from developing countries who are interested in coming to New York to report on international affairs during the 67th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

2012 Kurt Schork Awards in International Journalism – Call for Entries

The call for 2012 submissions is now open. The deadline for receipt of submissions is midnight (London time) 31st May 2012. 

Each year a call for submissions is made, usually in the first quarter, and a deadline set for receiving entries. An online entry form is provided on this website during the submission period and details for postal entries are also given.

RFPA Feature: Women’s words from Francophone Africa: An online audio sharing platform

A reporter from Radio Aurore makes his way down to the Bertoua market in eastern Cameroon. There, he interviews a 40-year-old housewife, Miriam. With a worried look on her face, she laments that food is too expensive and it is increasingly difficult to feed her family. The report conveys the challenges Miriam and millions of other African women face in their daily lives, and makes their voices heard across the web. 

The competition for the Radio for Peacebuilding Africa Awards 2012 is now open for submissions!

The RFPA Awards recognise the best radio programmes that contribute to peace in Africa. The RFPA Awards particularly celebrate radio programmes that help to reduce group and community tensions, enhance and give value to shared interests, break down listener stereotypes, or provide positive role models.
